The Parish Council requested your views, and 82% of those voting were against the development.

The Parish Council voted against the proposed development (of 31 new homes) at it’s Parish Council meeting in March 2026.

The Planning Officers were minded to recommend approval, and so the Application was “called in” to the planning Committee. This request was done by former Borough Cllr Stuart Dark, on his recommendation, and at the request of the Parish Council.

Cllr Julie Smith (chair of the Parish Council) and former Borough Councillor Stuart Dark, both represented the village at planning committee to object to the planning application. We are pleased to announce that the application for planning permission was rejected by the planning committee with 1 Councillor abstaining, and 12 against.
