  • Pavilion Pledge

The Parish Council agreed at it’s Council meeting on 14 April 2026 to release the £50,000 pledge made in May 2023.   The previous motion passed on 11 March 2025 was superseded by a new proposal on 14 April 2026. The vote was a majority vote with two counsellors against and one abstaining. The payment will be made from earmarked reserves £35K (money already set aside for the project) and from CIL funds £15K (Community Infrastructure Levy). The CIL money comes to the village as a result of developments and is to be used on village Infrastructure projects only.

So the £50K is already available and the Parish Council will not need to raise new money from tax payers.
